The Carey James ready to 'March Out'
Recording artiste The Carey James has teamed up with dancehall artiste Vershon on a new track titled 'March Out'.
The uptempo track speaks to the desire of making money and working hard towards one's goal.
"This is one of those tracks that motivate people to step up, step out and be the masters of their own destiny. The sky is the limit for me, and I want the whole world to know that as long as you work hard towards your goal, you can definitely achieve it," said The Carey James.
"I admire Vershon's work and so I reached out to him through a mutual friend, and we made the link from there. He liked what I was pitching, and the rest is history," he added.
The Carey James has been busy in 2018, releasing several tracks such as Take Me With You, Breaking Point and Wine N Bruk.
He has a number of singles in the works that he plans on releasing next year.
One such song is titled Murderer, a reggae track similar to the classic 1995 version of the same name, performed by reggae legend Buju Banton.
The Carey James was originally part of a duo. But he went back to the drawing board and worked on improving his craft by learning the business side of the industry and taking voice lessons.
His focus is on getting Jamaica back up to speed with the reggae genre.
"Right now, we are competing with other artistes from other countries who are doing reggae and are doing it even better than some of us here. We need to up the game and, ultimately, up our standards," he said.
