Shakdem looks to positively impact youth
With his mind set on changing the game, recording artiste Shakdem has released his single, 'Dream House'.
The single, which speaks of achieving success, is aimed at the younger generation as Shakdem feels it is his duty as a young entertainer to help lead the youth in a positive direction.
"When I say, 'jailhouse a nuh my dream house', I want listeners to know that once they decide to take the fast lane, they will end up in a jailhouse or dead," he said. "This single appeals to the younger generation, like myself, telling them that I have big dreams, and I don't plan on achieving them by doing the wrong things, and they can follow my lead."
After building momentum on social media, Shakdem decided to release the visuals for the track.
The video was shot in his home parish of St Ann and in St Mary by Ogie and Shane.
"The video complements the song so well that it has racked up over 50,000 views across social media platforms. It was officially released by Reggaeville, and I am overwhelmed with the positive feedback it has been receiving. I am thankful for the support I have been getting," he said.
While fervently promoting his single, Shakdem is also putting the finishing touches on his debut EP, which comprises six tracks.
