Pretty Devil creating waves with raunchy song

Sherice Clarke, aka 'Pretty Devil', a popular dancer-turned-artiste from Bay Farm Road, St Andrew, is creating waves with her raunchy song, ' Backshot', that brings back memories of a young Lady Saw and Spragga Benz track of the same name.

Pretty Devil said the comparison between her and Lady Saw style is a mere coincidence and not intentional.

"Lady Saw (who is now a gospel artiste) and Spice are too female artistes I admire because they are strong artistes in the business and they give females artistes a voice.

"I want to keep their legacy alive and well through my music," she said. Backshot was released in February by Blacksheep.

Pretty Devil is also signed to Big House Production.

She even raised eyebrows recently with her soon-to-be-released provocative tune For Sale, which has brought a lot of traffic to her 80,000-follower-strong Instagram page. For Sale is produced by Picante Music.

Because of nationwide restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, she has taken to social media to promote her songs. "I have been getting crazy love from all the females on social media, for both songs. People are asking who is this new artiste, and I have been compared to both Lady Saw and Spice. Iguess I have both of them in me; however, I'm Pretty Devil," she said with a grin.
