DC Stuban says he’s the new face of dancehall
Spanish Town native Omar Andre Holworthy, aka 'DC Stuban', a recording artiste, believes he can be the next big thing to come out Jamaica.
"I'm the new season for dancehall. I have the look, style and lyrical content" to get to the top of the game, the artiste said.
He is currently pushing his tune, Brace, which is produced by Difraz and Musiq UK, which was released last year. It is on the Money Dream UK rhythm, the same one that gave birth to the Polo song that made an impact in 2019.
"The song Brace was inspired by real-life experiences. I was promoting the single, Money Pree, by Musiq UK, and was attending a lot of dancehall parties, and while dancing with a female at one of these parties, I got the inspiration to do this dance song," he said.
"I wanted to find a song for both male and female to dance to, and I used creative talent, and the response has been great."
DC Stuban's musical inspiration came from watching the likes of icons Buju Banton and Beenie Man.
"Beenie Man was one of my first inspirations, because growing up hearing his songs created a great impact that made me want to create my own music. Buju Banton also motivated with his style and delivery," he said.
