Two Kingston men arrested in connection with seizure of illegal gun

Police attached to the Kingston western division, have arrested and charged two men, for breaches of the Firearms Act, following a Friday, October 23 incident in Victoria Town, Kingston 12.

The men have been identified as 34-year-old Edward Murray, otherwise called ‘Chilly Boobs’ and 22-year-old Oshawn Thomas both of Victoria Town, Kingston 12.

Police reports are that about 10:45 a.m., officers were conducting an operation in the area, and on seeing the police Murray ran inside his house, the police promptly followed him inside the house where Thomas was also seen. 

A search was conducted, and one high point 9mm pistol with a magazine containing six 9mm rounds of ammunition was found.

Thomas and Murray were subsequently arrested and charged with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.

Their court dates are being finalised.
