Young and hungry! ... Cavalier's young guns take aim at Harbour View

Cavalier SC will look to continue their good form when they face off against Harbour View in a highly anticipated Red Stripe Premier League Monday night game at the Harbour View Stadium, starting at 8:35.

The Rudolph Spied-coached Cavalier have been doing well, especially since the addition of some teenage players in the squad. With an average age of 22, Cavalier are going to the Compound high on expectation.

Cavalier's assistant coach David Lalor said that his young giants are going there for a positive result and to play some good football to continue exciting football lovers.

"We have quite a bit of young players who have established themselves as good footballers. And, we are expecting them to gel together. As a result we are seeing the results on the pitch. We are talking about Alex Marshall, Chevone Marsh and the inclusion of a Paul Wilson and others, the team is doing well based on the talent pool we have put together," Lalor said.

"It has been a while since I have seen a bunch of youngsters so enthused about playing football and wanting to showcase their talent on the pitch They are just enjoying themselves right now. Cavalier are coming to play some good football," Lalor added.

Cavalier will be without Marshall and Marsh, who are both away on national duty with the senior team but Wilson, Sheldon McKoy - who recently transferred from Harbour View, Kamoy Simpson, Jeadine White, Jamoi Topey and Nicholas Hamilton are all expected to make their mark.

Coach of Harbour View, Ricardo Bibi' Gardner, is fully aware of Cavalier's attacking threat and said that is team is ready for their youthful opponents.

"The fitness issue has being good the preparation this week has being good. Coming from the last two games we got positive results, I think the team is really playing well and we just have to be on our 'A' game come Monday night," Gardner said.

"We have not being putting away most of our chances, every now and again, we put one in the back of the net. We just have to continue creating chances and put the ball into the back of the net, because if you don't score you don't win games," said the former national senior team and Bolton Wanderers captain.

"They are a vibrant, young group that is enjoying their football and that is the main thing. I think week in and week out they are doing their best and that is very important," Gardner said about the Cavalier team.

Boys' Town's woes deepened when they went down 3-0 to Montego Bay United at Barbican Complex in one of four games played yesterday. Dino Williams netted a brace, while Johan Weatherly scored the other goal for MBU.
