Lady Marga MC happy for ‘Tropical House’ highlight

UK-based artiste Lady Marga MC has expressed the view that she is honoured to be in good musical company among other talented creatives following her feature on the Tropical House Cruises to Jamaica: The Asian Edition album.

" I feel honoured and truly grateful to be on this amazing album alongside some of the world's iconic superstar artistes. This is a blessing for me, a dream come true and I'm truly thankful to Contractor [producer Sean Edwards] for letting me be a part of this huge project," she said.

The artiste, whose given name is Melissa John, is a multi-award winning rapper, singer, actress and songwriter, and will be featured on two tracks on the album.

"First song is called No Apologise, which features iconic singer Jason Derulo and Backpack Shawty. It's produced by an amazing producer named Gabriel Mathis. It's about breaking up from a relationship but having no regrets and moving on. This song has more of a hip-hop vibe to it, and a lot of people that have been through a break-up can relate to it," she said.

"The second song is called Hottest Region and is a collaboration with myself, the legendary Capleton, Stamma Kid and Cyanide. It's more of a dancehall vibe. It's about life as to where you may be from. I talk about coming from London and the high crime that happens there," she added.

Lady Marga MC described her music as "catchy, edgy, fun and feel good". "I'm very versatile, so I don't like to stick to one genre. I like to mix it up, spice it up a bit," she said.
