Hezron is still ‘holding on’
Reggae recording artiste Hezron is once again spreading positivity through his music, with his recently released single Holding On.
Originally featured on his 2022 hit album M.O.A.M (Man On A Mission), the track was officially released as a single on September 26.
" Holding On was inspired by life itself - the struggles, the faith, and the resilience it takes to keep moving forward when things get rough. It's a song about perseverance and maintaining hope through adversity," Hezron explained.
Produced by Tad Dawkins Jr of Tad's Records, a talented producer who Hezron has collaborated with on several projects, musical chemistry is apparent in what has resulted in a high-quality track. Since its release, the track has been receiving an amazing response, with fans - from Jamaica to Europe - connecting deeply with the message.
"The message is everything to me. I've always believed music should feed the soul, not just entertain but inspire. With Holding On, I'm reminding people that even in dark times, faith, love, and determination will carry you through. It's about holding on to your purpose, your dreams, and your humanity," Hezron said.
Busy on the road in 2025, Hezron recently concluded a three-month stint in Canada, performing from mid-June to the end of August at festivals and cultural events, along with a few intimate acoustic sessions that gave him the opportunity to authentically connect with the audience. Performing 15 shows in total, the tour took him across Canada, starting in British Columbia's capital Victoria, and wrapping up in Toronto.
"The reception was incredible! Canadians have such a deep appreciation for authentic reggae music. The energy, the singalongs, and the love I felt from the crowd in every city were truly unforgettable. Every stop had its own unique vibe and pure love for reggae music," Hezron highlighted.
There's more in store for Hezron, as he prepares to release the visuals for Holding On.
"I'm planning more international shows and some special projects back home in Jamaica. I'm always representing real reggae music and the message of love and resilience," the singer said.
