Illegal guns and over 100 bullets found in St Ann, five held
Five people were taken into custody early this morning after cops seized more than 100 rounds of ammunition, two illegal guns and an air gun during a major operation in Parry Town, St Ann.
The Star understands that close to 120 assorted rounds, two 9 millimetre firearms and a shotgun-style air gun were found during a targeted cordon and search carried out by members of the Special Operations Branch, Area Two Fugitive Apprehension Team and the St Ann police.
The pre-dawn raid began about 4:30 a.m.
Two women and three men were arrested for the illegal weapons and ammunition. Their names are being withheld as investigations continue.
