Teen arrested in man’s stabbing death
Detectives attached to the Trelawny Criminal Investigations Branch have charged 18-year-old Javion Cameron, a farmer of Thompson Town district in the parish, with murder, following the stabbing death of a man in his community on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Errol Perry, otherwise called 'Dean,' also of a Thompson Town address. Reports from the Falmouth police are that at 8 p.m., Perry, who was at a corner shop in his community, was approached by Cameron. It is reported that Cameron demanded money from Perry for injuries he sustained in a physical altercation between the two, days earlier. It is further reported that Cameron brandished a knife, which he used to inflict a stab wound to Perry's chest and ran from the scene. Perry was assisted to the hospital by the residents, where he succumbed to the injury he sustained.
An investigation was launched, and Cameron surrendered to the police on Monday. He was later charged with the mentioned offence. His court date is being finalised.
